Mr. Mohammed Rashed Alsuwaidi is the founder and Managing Partner of Alsuwaidi & Company LLC, a prominent UAE-based law firm established in 1997. Prior to this, he served as the Head of the Legal Department of Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (‘Emarat’). With over 35 years of experience in law, Mr. Al Suwaidi has established himself as a seasoned legal practitioner in the UAE and beyond.
Mr. Alsuwaidi is a licensed arbitrator with extensive experience in handling domestic and international arbitrations under the rules of the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), International Islamic Centre for Reconciliation & Arbitration (IICRA), Sharjah Arbitration Centre, Abu Dhabi Commercial Conciliation and Arbitration Center (ADCCAC) and London Court International Arbitration (LCIA). He is a member of the ICSID Panel of Arbitrators, and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), and he is registered with the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC).
In addition to his professional memberships, Mr. Alsuwaidi has held a License to appear before all courts in the UAE since 1986. He is an Associate Member of the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC), Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of Ajman Commercial Conciliation and Arbitration Centre (Ajman Chamber of Commerce), and Vice President of Dubai Swiss Business Council. Mr. Alsuwaidi’s academic credentials include an LLB from UAE University and an LLM from Boston University, USA.
