Anna Boer

Anna is Senior Counsel at Dubai International Arbitration Centre. She is qualified as a lawyer in England and Wales and New York and has extensive experience in commercial and investment arbitrations.

Prior to joining the Centre, Anna practised at White & Case in Moscow and Dubai, where she advised governments, financial institutions, and multinational corporations on complex cross-border matters. Her practice focused on commercial and investment arbitrations under major institutional rules and in ad hoc proceedings, seated in various jurisdictions, as well as on complex proceedings before the English courts. She has represented clients from Western and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Asia in disputes spanning a broad range of sectors and industries.

As counsel, she has secured a number of successful outcomes in high-stakes disputes, including the dismissal of investment treaty claims against a state and the discharge of a worldwide freezing injunction before the English High Court.

Anna holds an LLB in English and European Law from Queen Mary University of London and an MSc in Energy, Trade and Finance from Bayes Business School. She has also completed the LPC at BPP Law School and participated in the Erasmus Programme at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.

Anna is also a guest speaker at the University of Dubai. She is a member of the Young International Arbitration Group and Women in eDiscovery.

She speaks English and Russian.
