Day-1
Arbitration Proceedings
- 10:00 – 11:30: Preliminary Meeting (Case Management Conference, Procedural Order No.1 and Timetable).
- 11:30 – 11:45: Coffee break.
- 11:45 – 12:15: Emergency arbitrator and expedited proceedings.
- 12:15 – 13:00 Interim and conservatory measures (role of arbitral tribunals and state courts.
- 13:00 – 14:00: Lunch break.
Exchange of pleadings and evidence
- 14:00 – 15:30: Written submissions and documentary evidence.
- 15:30 – 15:45: Coffee break.
- 15:45 – 16:15: Witness evidence (factual and expert witnesses).
- 16:15 – 16:45: Production of Documents.
- 16:45 – 17:30: Open discussion (Q&A)
Day-2
Substantive hearings
- 10:00 – 11:30: Hearing preparations (logistical and procedural matters, opening statements and agreement on list of issues).
- 11:30 – 11:45: Coffee break.
- 11:45 – 12:15: cross-examination of witnesses (common law vs civil law).
- 12:15 – 13:00: things not to do in cross-examination.
- 13:00 – 14:00: Lunch break.
Practical Training
- 14:00 – 14:30: Pre-hearing conference.
- 14:30 – 15:30: Exchange of oral opening statements.
- 15:30 – 15:45: Coffee break.
- 15:45 – 16:45: training on putting questions to witnesses.
- 16:45 – 17:30: Open Discussion (Q&A).

- Early bird registration fee: AED 2,000 (Inclusive VAT) for participants registering before 7 April
